Protest planned outside D150 meeting on Monday
Via Diane Vespa:
As most of you know, the Peoria District 150 Board of Education recently voted to REDUCE THE SCHOOL DAY for our Primary School children by 45 minutes.
This same vote further reduced the special teachers for SCIENCE, MUSIC, ART AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION.
This vote clearly demonstrates the MISPLACED PRIORITIES of Peoria District 150 and a willingness to balance the budget on the backs of our children as opposed to an already top heavy administration. If the citizens of Peoria turn a blind eye to this recent action by the board, WHERE WILL THEY STOP? The middle schools? The High Schools?
IT IS TIME FOR ALL PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, NEIGHBORS, FRIENDS AND CONCERNED CITIZENS TO TAKE A STAND AGAINST THE DISTRICT AND LET THEM HEAR LOUD AND CLEAR THAT WE OPPOSE THIS MEASURE.
PLEASE JOIN US on MONDAY, JUNE 2, AT 5:00 PM for a PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION outside the District Administration Office located at 3202 N. Wisconsin Ave., Peoria, IL
