Why a blog about press releases?
… because press releases are how the government, businesses and organizations communicate directly to the public without filtering by the media.
Sometimes the filtering works to the public’s benefit. ‘Cause a lot of what appears in press releases is bull, or it needs to be put into perspective. But most of the time, it’s simple stuff like when and where an event will be held.
Any any case, it’s only fair that the public gets to see ‘em.
If you’ve got one you want to see here, mail ‘em to “peoriapundit AT gmail DOT com.”
And try putting “PRESS RELEASE” in the title.
